The Aeonverse: Concept

What is the Aeonverse?

The Aeonverse is a vast interconnecting web of stories and worldbuilding efforts connected by a shared cosmology and mythos. On a fundamental level it is a Multiverse comprised of other, smaller multiverses; meaning each multiverse is infinite unto itself but is within an even larger network of connected multiverses. A single multiverse is called a "Plane" which is comprised of an infinite number of alternate universes, each connected to a "Prime Plane" which is the source of all the subsequent universes, each created by any and all changes in the timeline, each new universe creating a panoply of others each and every second, and so on. Technology, magic, and divine powers vary depending on the specifics of the universe, each can be entirely different.

Each plane has it's own gods and demons, energy and laws, but some things are universal.

The Doors of Night: A gateway to the Void Realm, each one is hidden by the will of the God of the Void, Asheron, and act as conduits for his power. The Void is a sea of energy that surrounds and seeps into all the realms. It is change as a force, destructive in it's raw form, but when focused is used to change the world around the user in the form of "Magic". The Void is also used as a form of travel between planes.

Gates of Time: A doorway that defies all logical reason, it opens upon a sea of endless heat and light, called the Aether, constantly generating new energy and matter from seemingly nothing. At the core of this ocean of unchecked creation is said to dwell the Creator.

High Gods: No matter how powerful a single being can be the High Gods are infinitely more powerful. They are the embodiments of fundamental forces, and cannot be killed as they are part of reality itself, elementary and ineffable in their essence.

How to Get Involved

We always welcome new writers, artists, and Roleplayers. The story of the Aeon is organic, ever changing, and always expanding. The limit to what you can create is almost endless. However a few rules have been set in stone:

1: Nothing is higher that the High Gods in power save beings of the Before, which shall be explained in a lore post, though some characters can rival these beings. Do not make characters that are equal or greater to these eight gods.

2: Fanfiction material involving pre-existing fandoms is allowed, however it will be considered part of the "Legends" and will not be added to the existing Canon. For those who wish to incorporate their own original work you need to submit a full summery of the lore and wait for it to be approved.

3: Feel free to make your own characters, races, or even universes! We encourage creativity and new ideas.
